1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/8 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp coconut oil


In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the honey, nutmeg and coconut oil.  Add brown sugar and stir very gently - just enough to blend.  Massage into dry skin and let it soak in for a few minutes.  Rinse well.  Skin will feel softer, smoother and healthier!

Most people are familiar with the amazing qualities of honey.  But fewer are familiar with the remarkable properties of Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans). Both have natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce the infection and swelling around clogged pores, resulting in smaller spots and smoother scars. 

This recipe is very close to an old favorite recipe, Honey-Nutmeg Sauce for Pancakes:  

Stir together 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 tsp fresh, grated nutmeg, and heat for 30-60 seconds in the microwave or warm in a sauce pan on low heat.  Pour over pancakes, oatmeal or fresh fruit.  So good.
