Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Home Spa Party

The best news we've heard in a long time is that chocolate is actually good for you! So why not capitalize on a healthy trend and have a chocolate-themed home spa party? Include a small bar of chocolate with the invitations - who can resist?

Food & Beverages - In this party, you offer guests a sampling of fabulous chocolates in "courses." You’ll need three small trays with small samples of two different chocolates on each tray. Present each tray to your guests at different times, letting them savor each kind of chocolate.

Serve sparkling water or juices while sampling, and later what could be more fabulous than a Chocolate Martini?

Music - The soundtrack from the movie "Chocolat" is a natural, and any vintage French "café" music is great too. Try "French Café" from Putomayo, or the soundtrack from the movie “French Kiss.”

Treatments - Offer manicures and pedicures - with dark chocolate brown nail polishes.

Supplies needed:
Footbaths or plastic bowls for soaking, warm towels, washcloths, and river stones for massage. New nail files, orange sticks, and inexpensive pumice stones (one per guest). It's best to ask each guest to bring her own clippers for sanitary reasons. Marbles, or river stones, soaked in warm water. Thermoses or pitchers for warm water.

Products needed:
You'll need Revitalizing Foot Soak Crystals, Shea Butter Skin Repair Cream, Nourishing Foot Cream, and Soothing Hand and Body Lotion

Treatments:
For pedicures:

Ask guests to remove old polish and clip and shape nails themselves.

Meanwhile pour warm water into each footbath, add a few marbles or river stones, and add soaks. Let guests soak feet 10 minutes.

Guests should then push cuticles back and clean nails.

On one foot at a time, use 1 tsp Foot Soak Crystals and 1/2 tsp lotion mixed in your palm to scrub and gently massage and exfoliate skin on feet, all the way up to the ankle. Rinse and pat dry.

Then massage 1/2 teaspoon Nourishing Foot Cream into feet and legs, followed with 1/4 tsp Shea Butter cream into heels and balls of feet. Wrap feet in a warm towel, and keep covered for 5 minutes.

Apply polish and let dry.

For manicures:

Ask guests to remove old polish, and clip and shape nails themselves.

Pour warm water into bowl and add soaks. Let hands soak 10 minutes.

Gently push cuticles back and clean nails.

Mix 1 tsp Foot Soak Crystals and 1/2 tsp lotion in your palm, and gently scrub hands, going up to wrist. Rinse and pat dry.

Apply 1/2 teaspoon Soothing Hand & Body Lotion into hands and wrists, then wrap in a warm towel, or cotton gloves.

If not applying polish, massage Shea Butter cream into nails and cuticles. Do not apply cream if guest wishes to wear nail polish.

Polish nails and let dry.
